4th khan blue requirements

ok guys here are the required techniques for your 4th khan.

All 4 punches jab, cross, hook and uppercut.

Left and right elbows with cover. Reverse elbow.

Spinning back kick.

Two defenses against low round kick ( shield and peck) Tiny Thai shield only.

Front kick (peck/teep)

Right and left knees.

Round round kick.

Hand position must remain high and each technique must be delivered with improvement from previous grade. Dont hesitate to ask any questions.

Lunchtime classes.

PROPOSED SCHEDULE FOR ADULT LUNCHTIME CLASSES.

Ok guys, below you will find the first draft for lunchtime classes, hopefully this will go live from week commencing Monday 14th June. There has been an interest in bjj classes mainly from guys who work shifts and struggle to attend regulary, so, there will be a couple classes which will cover the material which Peter is currently teaching. Thai boxing will fill the other slots with the concentration on the correct basics of muay thai.. Classes will last approx 1 hour at a cost of £6 per class to be paid in cash prior to the class starting. Cheers. Matt.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 12pm to 1pm Thai boxing.

Wednesdays and Fridays 12pm to 1pm Brazilian ju-jitsu.

Here are the latest students to pass their 1st khan gradings, as usual, the standards were excellent!

NEW TEEN SPARRING CLASS.

Hi guys. The new teen sparring class commenced last week with a few students turning up to test their skills. Going forward, I will be incorporating some ground fighting in the class but that will come later. Right now, you should be concentrating on your basics eg gaurd, footwork, combinations and defense. Remember, sparring should be a learning session not a beating session. You have to trust your sparring partners and make sure that you learn from each other.

I have attached a short video of Callum and Lyle sparring at the acceptable level.

NEW YEAR GRADINGS AND PRICE CHANGES.

Ok guys, here is all the info you need for the forthcoming gradings. No names will be listed so you need to be aware of your current grade, for example, all those yet to grade will need to attend the 1st khan, all those who have their first khan need to attend the 2nd khan and so on.
I have broken it down into age groups and specific days to make it simple. Grading time lasts approx 25min to 30mins and the cost is £10.oo. Gradings bands must be worn in the class at all times, i need you to wear this so that i can identify your individual grade and level.

As from the 1st of feb, the class price for payg will rise from £5.50 to £6.50 per session. The rise is due to two reasons, an increase on premises rent and, more importantly, to entice the monthly payment option which saves you money and it also encourages students to attend more regularly as opposed to dropping in every so often which does not help with student development or class structure.
